Experience the newest extreme watersport with a flyboard lesson on Lake Hickory! Over the course of your 30-minute lesson—or 60 if you book a double—you'll feel the adrenaline of strapping on jet boots and flying up to 30 feet in the air.

Meet your instructor at Lake Hickory at a time that works best with your schedule, since flyboard lessons run every 30 minutes throughout the day. This new extreme water sport is fun for all, where pressurized water allows you to feel as if you're flying through air. Even though it might sound really hard, most people are able to operate the board in only a matter of minutes!

You'll begin your experience with a safety briefing after checking in at the dock, and then hear some basic instructions on how to operate the flyboard. You'll then be given a helmet and lifejacket, strap your feet to the board, and let the certified instructor handle the throttle while you get the hang of it. Throughout the entire flyboard experience, your instructor is able to communicate through a wireless, waterproof radio, and once you exhibit a sense of control and balance above the water, the instructor lets you control the throttle and it feels like you're flying on your own.

Because the boards are light and maneuverable, even newcomers are able to quickly pick up the steering and tricks.
