What happens when you put nine species of animals with different personalities and a senses of purpose together? You get a farm full of life, funny happenings and interesting experiences. Apple Hill Farm is brimming with new and engaging moments of animal life. Best of all, you get to visit this amazing place!

Your guided walking tour lasts 45- to 90-minutes and winds through the pastures, old apple orchard and landscaped gardens. You will get to meet alpacas, llamas, guardian donkeys, angora goats, guardian dogs, chickens and Mr. Pickles the mini-pig! The owner's passion is creating an environment where can develop a new and deeper connection with animals and the beautiful mountain they call home. Every animal on the farm and every crop in the garden is grown and maintained with a specific purpose. Everyone has an important role at Apple Hill Farm - you included!

In addition to farm animals, Apple Hill Farm is also home to the largest selection of alpaca products in the High Country of North Carolina. They have over 20 varieties of alpaca yarn as well as gloves, scarves, socks, sweaters, vests, jackets, hats, stuffed animals and more - all created from luxurious alpaca fiber!

After your tour, stop by the farm store to warm up with some homemade hot chocolate while you browse through the selection of alpaca yarns and accessories. You can even pick up a hand-tied wreath or locally grown table-top tree.

After driving through the beautiful hills of western North Carolina, meet your friendly farm tour guide in the parking lot by the barn. From mid-November to mid-December, escape the frantic holiday rush and back in touch with what's real, as you tour the farm on Apple Hill and enjoy some time in the country. Meet the animals or just unwind, and your guide is happy to answer any questions you have about the farm.
